Another Monday friends! This one is fine by me because I am officially on BREAK. That means no alarm clocks, no 14 hour work days, etc. Instead I get tons of family time, time to do things I like that DON’T involve medicine, and catch up on some much needed sleep. It was a fairly low key weekend over here which can sometimes be the best possible kind!
Saturday morning it was time for a neighborhood yard sale. I scrounged some things together and teamed up with some friends for the morning. It hurt my heart to do it but I sold a good chunk of the girls’ retired clothing. Chris and I are on the fence about a 3rd child but either way I know we are moving in March and I needed to par things down a bit. I was done by 10AM which is my kind of yard sale.
Saturday night I went out to dinner at The 5 Spot in Savannah for an early birthday celebration with a few of my classmates and my BFF Heather. I hadn’t been to that restaurant before and it was seriously good. I had a blackened salmon salad, a couple glasses of wine, and a delicious brownie dessert. The best part though was spending quality time with some of my favorite people 🙂
Sunday morning called for pancakes at our favorite breakfast place. Emmie wakes up every weekend and says how she wants to go to “brek-fas” and get “two pancakes”. It’s one of my favorite family traditions! After we got home from breakfast we changed into our swim suits and headed to the pool for a little while. It was SO hot this weekend that the water was an absolute must.
Unfortunately it’s not all fun and games this break … I have my end of rotation exam for OB/GYN plus a comprehensive exam that I have to prepare for. We will be taking those next week while we are on campus and it’s a TON of material to get through. I struggled my way through gynecologic cancers and menstrual disorders yesterday. And the struggle was real.
My mom and I are off to do some shopping today as a precursor to my birthday. I am seriously obsessed with the fact that Savannah now has its own Tanger Outlets. My wallet on the other hand cries. Happy Monday!
