We made it to another Friday friends! Why is it that making it to a Friday feels like such an accomplishment? For me, it’s like I kept Emmalyne and myself alive and happy another week until daddy can sweep in on the weekends and help us out. I also want to give a big shout out to all my new readers! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stick around for awhile 😉 With it being Friday, it’s time for another recap of my week in workouts. I actually totally stuck to my training plan this week! Another accomplishment in and among itself. HA.
MONDAY
Monday was an awesome workout day. I started bright and early with an intense boot camp class at my gym followed by an awesome hour of vinyasa flow yoga to stretch it out. Later in the afternoon Emmalyne and I took the dogs on a quick mile walk in the neighborhood.
TUESDAY
Tuesday was another awesome day. I tried out my new Under Armor Spine RPM running shoes. Expect a full review coming soon. A little bird said there might be a giveaway attached to it 😉 After runner we grabbed the dogs and took them for another mile.
WEDNESDAY
Wednesday called for a 30 minute tempo run so I added 5 minutes at the start/end for warm-up and cool-down. Overall this run felt awesome. I followed up with a nutso WOD for 12-12-12. It was supposed to be 12 rounds for time but I only had time for 3 before I had to head home.
12 sit-ups
12 air squats
12 walking lunges
12 push ups
12 box jumps (24″)
12 thrusters (20#)
12 back extensions
12 bench dips
12 kettlebell swings (15# – should have gone higher)
12 jump rope
12 leg lifts
12 wall ball (14#)
I was wiped at the end … 12 rounds might have killed me.
THURSDAY
Yesterday was another busy day but I managed to squeeze my run in. I did a 30 minute run on the treadmill. Training plan called for 3 miles but I have a hard time stopping at an arbitrary time …. I like to stop on a 5 or 10 number. Weird … maybe. Obsessive … kind of.
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY
Fairly certain today is going to be my rest day since I am supposed to run both days this weekend and I have yoga tomorrow morning.
Overall I am satisfied with my week. I have stuck within the paces suggested by the McMillan running and we will see how it goes!
What was the best workout you did this week? Do you stop your runs on a special number?
