For the last year I have known that I wanted to make Emmalyne’s third birthday party something art themed. Emmie has always been really into drawing and art so it fit her personality perfectly! I searched Pinterest and soon came up with the vision that I wanted. Over the last couple of months I have slowly ordered and accumulated everything that I need to make my vision come to life. On the day of her party I was so excited to see everything that I had in my head come out exactly as I hoped!
The best party about an art themed birthday party is that it keeps the kids entertained and gives them something special to take home with them. I set up little tables with individual canvases, paint pallets, and lots of different colors. I ordered painting aprons from Amazon so each little artist got to don their smock and set to work on their masterpiece.
For food, I had a kids table set up outside. I made Annie’s Mac-n-Cheese ahead of time and served it in little bowls. We also had rainbow fruit skewers, little cups of pretzels, and pigs in a blanket. For the parents, I had my counter inside loaded with a veggie tray, guacamole, buffalo chicken dip, and pulled pork. The best part though was the desserts! I made sugar cookies with royal icing, cake pops, and had an amazing cake made by a local baker.
Food the goodie bags, I found mini watercolor sets online, included multicolored chalk, bubbles, and a pack of Skittles.
Overall I am so happy with how everything went. As I was setting up the party Emmalyne kept saying “it’s so beautiful!” which made my heart very happy. All the kids had a blast, parents got to socialize, and overall it was really an amazing day. We got blessed with perfect weather which was icing on the cake 🙂
Now I get to start working on Bryn’s first birthday …. hold me now.
