Happy Tuesday! I am getting a bit of a late start to the week … the weekend went by way too fast and I had a to-do list that seemed never ending. However, we did manage to fit in some family fun so that is always a good thing. This past weekend was the Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival here in Richmond Hill, GA. It happens every October and is a huge event for the Savannah area. The last time Chris and I went though was when I was 8 months pregnant with Bryn!
Saturday afternoon we decided spontaneously to brave the crowds and take the girls up there. I am SO glad we did because the whole family had a blast. We started the afternoon off with some rides and I was pleasantly surprised how many the girls could go on. They rode a choo-choo train, a mini ferris wheel, and the merry-go-round. Poor Bryn never wanted to leave the train though! Seeing my girls laughing away fills my heart enough to last me until the next weekend 🙂 We also chowed down on seafood, beer, and fried oreos. And it was entirely worth it.
We ended the day with ice cream and running around in the grass. Overall it was the perfect afternoon! If you’re a local make sure to check it out next year 🙂
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
