When Presley was here for FitBloggin and we were out with friends I was shocked to hear how many of them didn’t know how to grill pizza! Since it’s a staple in our house and one of my favorite things ever I thought it was about time to share our method with you guys too. Add this to your meal plan, you will thank me 😉
So grilling pizza is incredibly easy and no the dough does not fall through the cracks. Before getting started pre-heat your grill to a medium-high heat for 5-10 minutes. We pick up our dough pre made from Publix to save time but you can also make your own. If you have a Trader Joe’s near you I know they have fresh dough too!
1. To start, roll out your dough to your desired thickness. We like ours pretty thin so Chris rolls it really well. Use plenty of flour so it doesn’t stick to the pin or counter.
2. Add the dough directly to the hot grill. Shut the grill and leave it for ~2 minutes. Flip the dough and grill on the other side for another two minutes.
3. Add your favorite toppings to finish up your pizza! Place back on the grill for 6-8 minutes. If it gets a little black it just adds flavor 😉
We love these pizzas for whenever we have friends over and at least once a week ourselves. Build-your-pizzas are also a ton of fun for a party! My mom has hosted one with really adventurous and fun toppings. The sky is the limit!
