It’s the Monday before Christmas!! I am seriously getting SO excited 🙂 I hope you guys had a fun weekend. Our was filled with fun around the house and hitting up some things around town. If you’re catching up on posts from the weekend, I posted last week’s workouts and this week’s meal plan on the blog yesterday. I plan on doing this on Sundays from now on 🙂
One of my favorite things I did this weekend was go to Awakening Yoga Studio’s Jingle Bell Rock-Asana yoga class on Saturday. The 1.5 hour long class was free and FULL of the dedicated yogis of AYS.
I have been practicing at AYS since we moved to Savannah last year and have seen the community grow so much in the last year and a half. This was the studio’s third annual Jingle Bell Rock-Asana but the first one I have had the chance to attend. Lisa (the owner) and her team of teachers put together a kick-asana class for everyone all set to awesome Christmas music. I can’t say enough good things about Lisa and all the teachers at AYS. Big shout out to one of my closest friends here Leslie Ann for starting to teach power yoga on Sundays 🙂
The class was awesome in that each teacher taught a portion of it so you got to experience all of their different teaching styles. I normally just go to Lisa or Leslie Ann’s classes so it was great to see what else I was missing out on. The class was challenging in the best possible way and I felt great the entire time. The class was perfect for yogis of all different levels and skills and it seemed like everyone had a fantastic time. They put on a little brunch afterwards too 🙂
If you’re local to the area you should really check out Awakening Yoga Studio. There are so many different styles of classes offered and at all different times. You can see the whole schedule HERE. If you’re military, they offer a military discount on drop-in rates too! It helps that Lisa is a military spouse herself 😉 I am already looking forward to next year’s Jingle Bell Rock-Asana and it was a great way to start the last few days before Christmas.
Did you do anything holiday related this weekend?
**This is not a sponsored post in any way. I just really love this yoga studio and all the instructors that bring their passion for yoga to the rest of us 🙂
