Happy Wednesday friends! Today is a bittersweet day … Yon is heading back to Las Vegas which means the grandma-induced-bliss of having some time to ourselves is over for now. Sweet because we are packing up and heading to Hilton Head Island today for Operation R&R (more on this awesome program later!). Since it’s Wednesday it’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday with the lovely Jenn of Peas and Crayons.
Baked apple cinnamon oatmeal that I made on the weekend. A big bowl of fresh fruit on the side and an iced coffee in my sweet new Target mug.
Uptown Deli chicken salad on Ezekiel Flax bread and cuties on the side. Random: my cuties had seeds in them. I thought they were supposed to be seedless?
Peanut butter chocolate chip Larabar while running from the hospital to my car to make it to CrossFit at noon. Some beef jerky in the afternoon and a Chobani pineapple bite before dinner.
We grilled pizzas for Yon’s last night in town. With the warmer temperatures slowly coming into our lives we are getting amped for spring and grilling more frequently. I love it.
I am really looking forward to this weekend away. Chris works really hard and being in the Army is a 24/7 job. Having the stress of command is tough on him. I am excited that he gets to take a few days to himself and we should get some quality family time in without interruptions 🙂 See you from Hilton Head!
