Monday again? BOO. Weekends go by too quickly! We had an awesome weekend here in the Deep South. The weather was perfect, the company ideal, and the food delicious. There was even some fitness thrown in 😉
We woke up bright and early for the Squash for Josh 5K in Richmond Hill. It was a small but fun local race benefitting the Richmond Hill Police Department. I will be writing a full recap of the race for tomorrow 😉
After a quick shower and lunch with Chris, I snuck out to my favorite local coffee shop to get some work done. I got some stuff done for the volunteer position I have, did some homework, and worked on blog stuff. I am so much more productive when I don’t have a soon-to-be toddler underfoot 😉
After a solid couple of hours hacking away at my to-do list, it was time to run home and get ready to go and celebrate a very special birthday! I even had time to pull myself together and wear “real” clothes!
Then it was off to Heather’s to party it up in honor of Grace’s 2nd birthday. Heather, D, and Grace are some of our very best friends here in Georgia and I am so happy to have them in our lives. Check out Heather’s awesome spread:
I seriously stuffed my face … everything was so good!
Heather good BBQ from the Smokin Pig here in Richmond Hill, made a bomb crockpot mac-n-cheese, fresh fruit, veggies, and some potato salad. My belly was happy.
Grace wasn’t too sure about everyone singing to her. I think it’s so cute when she snuggles into Heather 🙂 Makes me think about what Emmie will be like in a year!
Emmie was quite the busy girl throughout the whole part. As she is getting older, and her 1st birthday is creeping up, she is becoming more and more independent. She is content to play by herself and finds the most amazing things entertaining. IE: the balloons, toy basket, and stairs.
Overall Saturday was my kind of day. It had everything I love: a good run, delicious food, and great memories made with family and friends.
Sunday consisted of not getting out of our jammies until lunch. Then we watched football and hung out with friends. Totally laid back … just how I like it.
Now it’s time to gear up for another busy week! Emmie’s 1st birthday is in 13 days! It’s time to get to it 😉
How was your weekend?
