I am so happy today is Thursday! One of the cool things about Chris being in the Army is that he gets a 4-day weekend any time that there is a federal holiday. Since Monday is MLK day he has tomorrow off! We have a fun family adventure to Springfield planned 🙂
Today we woke up to a winter wonderland outside. Yesterday’s high was 55 degrees … today topped out at 20 degrees with a wind chill around 6. BRRR. I am an Arizona girl … this white stuff is foreign to me!
Peanut butter and chocolate chip protein oatmeal. Nothing beats a warm bowl of oats on a bitterly cold morning 🙂
I was debating whether or not to brave the elements and decided that going to the gym was a must. So Emmie and I bundled up and braved the chill. Homegirl fell asleep on our way to the gym and I survived driving in winter for the first time.
Ready for a doozy? This one was posted last night on the CrossFit website for the WOD today. I changed a couple of things to meet my abilities.
Geesh … I was dripping in sweat! The burpees at the end nearly did me in. It took me 37 minutes to complete this workout and it burned 494 calories according to my HR monitor. Try it out and let me know what you thought!
Protein smoothie consisting of 2 handfuls spinach, 5 strawberries, a banana, scoop protein, 1/2 cup orange juice and 1 tsp chia seeds. Quickly slurped down while Emmie was napping and I was doing laundry 😉
Emmie just loves to roll over now. We spent the afternoon playing on her play mat. She has also plays with her toys and loves her crinkle dog.
