Those two words describe this week in my pregnancy. Holy. Cow. Mild freak out moment? Check. Ready to have this baby? Double check.
How big is baby?
According to Baby Center, baby is now 6 1/3lbs and approx. 19 inches long. Many babies are born with a a full head of hair that can be between 1/2 and 1 1/2 inches in length. The odds for our peanute? 50/50. The hubs was born with TONS of hair and I was super bald. Fingers crossed 😉
How is Mama?
Wow. These last couple of weeks are rough. According to my midwife, the more in shape you are prior to your pregnancy the more your abs hold things in ‘tight’. Sounds like a blessing right? Pretty sure it’s a curse. Things are SO tight that I don’t feel like Em can move like she wants therefore leading to some severe distortions of my belly that do not feel good. Silly little girl. Legs and back are incredibly sore by the end of the day too. To be honest? I am ready for our peanut to be out of the belly and in my arms.
Are We Ready?
Heck yes! The nursery is done. All her clothes, blankets, bedding, toys, etc. are washed. Carseat has been installed. Swing and bouncer are a go. Stroller is ready to rock and roll. We even tried the bouncer and swing out with our friends’ baby this weekend. Eli was sleeping within 5 minutes. Score. The other night the hubs went into Emmie’s room to get something and came downstairs saying that he went in looking for a baby. Haha. Soon my love, soon.
Days until due date: 19
Pillows I sleep with: 5
Meals in the freezer: 17 (post coming, I promise!)
Random Stranger Belly Rubs (this week): 1
Needless to say we are enjoying our final weekends as a family of two. Our really good friends leave MO this week so we spent much of our weekend with them. Everyone was over yesterday to watch some college football and we had a blast! We are going to miss them so very much but we are incredibly thankful for the 2 weeks overlap we got with them here.
This week I have a couple of lunch dates with some girlfriends and Operation Baby Eviction starts Friday when the hubs graduates SRT (Army swat) school. 🙂
